Gerald, I like your way of thinking. The "perceived Incompetence" results in those who are failing to do the necessary dd to understand what's going on behind the scenes (now I'M assuming!). Slanderous comments are the direct result of pessimistic assumptions made by those who have goofed. This is done in an effort to fill in the blanks where correct data is missing. These same folks probably got burned on a previous adventure, now they think that this company is showing some signs of the same thing, they panic, dump and start mouthing off. The whole reason for this is an effort to make up the damage they have done to themselves by failing to do the necessary dd on the company in the first place.

Perhaps they think to themselves "ok, I've lost my ass, at least I may feel a little better if I can 'save' someone else." But what's really going on is blaming the company makes them feel better, as it releases them from having to take responsibility for their own faulty actions. Unfortunately this opens the door for them to eventually get creamed again as they will continue to make the same mistake in an effort to make themselves right, at which point the whole cycle starts again.

If the only data that I had to make a judgement was that of the news released I might think the same way, but only if I were the type to "jump to a conclusion". Calling the company can get you much more data and reasons why things have gone the way they have over the last few years. All things considered I think Doug's doing a good job, and I'm looking forward to some spending money as well.

Good day,

Russ
