Not correct. The contract stated that SUNW controlled tests that developers of enhancements to JAVA must pass to insure the "write once run anywhere" feature of the code. This is clear. SUNW claims that MSFT co-opted the JAVA code for its own proprietary form of JAVA in violation of the contract and in violation of the spirit of the language.

MSFT called it "innovation". I recall that they also "innovated" WINDOWS OS by adding a browser.

They have a problem with the word "innovation". IMO to MSFT innovation means "stealing and monopolizing"
