Famed technician Bob Farrell calls NAZ rebound a "dead cat bounce" in BARRON'S today. Sees a retest of the lows before long. But likes the old economy stocks on dips.

Of course stocks are better investments than CD's. I doubt you would find anyone on SI that would disagree. I was just pointing out that classic TA suggests that when there is an upward movement in an overall downtrend and when this price action begins to take the shape of a flag while the volume is decreasing, there is a good chance that the price will break down, as it did in 1998.

I am 75% in equities now; right after Tuesday I was 93% in equities(I did some buying Tuesday and selling since then)

I just want to have some dry powder if this likely event happens. It may not but that's why I'm 75% invested.
