This stock is displaying some good relative strength.
Maybe Kodak doesn't own so much of the intellectual property in this space, or at least won't going forward, as you might infer from press releases and patent portfolio. I'm guessing from what I've read that eMagin is closer at its NY IBM fab to actual fabrication of OLEDs in a flat screen useable by an OEM, than is Kodak with its Japanese ally. Be nice to have a better idea, but for now I like what the relative strength suggests. Of course there's not been much chance for profit taking, nor occasion for loss-cutting, which is no doubt part of the price picture.

Another partnership announcement, now with Germans:

I haven't looked for Covio information, but it wouldn't be surprising to see that its OLED material is SiC, given the heat and illumination features combined. I feel a little more reason to expect something good from eMagin now that they're partnering with not only IBM and Kodak, but Germans--and more importantly, for an actual product.

Jdaasoc: Any comments about display companies, if you went to the USDC conference you mentioned?
