Tero - When the DoCoMo trial started, that theory changed - now W-CDMA exists, but is not commercially viable.

What kind of trial? As far as I know, no W-CDMA system is out of the two or three basestations and 5 or 10 users concept tests. Certainly that qualifies as a trial, but it doesn't indicate imminent(sp?) roll-out. If you have additional information, I'd certainly be interested in it. I've been trying to find information on the trial and so far have seen little that is even remotely informative. I read that to be sign that things aren't progressing all that quickly. And in any case they would be foolhardy to roll out any brand new CDMA standard before extensive loading tests which have yet to be announced.
