C, you need no defense in this matter. It may be that lorrie has perceived a threat where one does not exist. I simply sought to reassure her that there is not a threat. If she is really concerned, I hope that her concerns are quieted. One of the difficulties of cyberspace is that we cannot see one another or hear one another's voices to pick up all the cues that the written word conveys only over time. At our best, we find ways besides "smileys" to give a sense of who we are, but it is difficult and misunderstandings do happen.
