"This is where an already established reputation in the non online world would be a big help"

Lola, i agree completely ... and that is my perception of the business plan, that it is giving a planetary online presence to leading brokers in the respective countries, which brokers do not now have web exposure ... and probably will be better off JVed with SEG than starting their own, since the single-portal SEG model will save investors a lot of time ... if it works well ... we'll be watching it develop to get an idea of just how practical it is, but as presented to date i like the concept a lot, and doubt very much that the banks can compete effectively overall ... maybe in some markets, in others no ... anyway, i like the fact that they're untainted by association with the people who developed the greenline machine, lol.

[edit] - "in markets that are not as stable as ours"

ummm ... quote.yahoo.com

-g- ... i know what you mean, though ... cheers

people's hard earned money being invested in markets that are not as stable as ours

The best unintentionally funny line I have read today. Maybe you were out on Tuesday?

I guess it depends if you are playing the tech funds or Vanguard's SP500 index fund. But the volatility has spread everywhere these days.

Kinda what makes the game fun. Please forgive my weird sense of humor.

Thanks For The Opinion Lola.....

>>because this is an area which involves people's hard earned money being invested in markets that are not as stable as ours <<

Care to qualify that statement?LOL!!Just kidding.

><already established reputation in the non online world would be a big help<<

Agreed.Yet it appears from some information posted here that this is not as easy as it seems,at least in Asia.
I know EXACTLY what you mean though. The folks here are anticipating the " first to market " advantage we currently hold,if they ever get their web site up and running.

>>Canadians are very conservative with their investments<<

They used to be,that's fer sure.I think many are turning more aggressive as the internet and other media is providing more information to take the mystery out of investing for those who considered it a " special craft ", so to speak.I see the fund inflows are lower agian this quarter,so the money is obviously going self or broker directed.

Not that long ago,in Internet Years anyway, you would find few who were interested in general market conversations, but these last couple of years that has changed dramatically.Must be these " stable markets " eh?<g>

Seriously though, people are much more attune to movements in markets and what is happening overseas these days I think. The news reports of instant riches and all tends make one's mind wander too me thinks.Just thoughts.

Again..Thanks for the response. No reply necessary.
