Kerm, thanks for the info. I'll check out some of your picks when I get a chance. I know a bit about TLM... 1 billion proven reserves, 200K boepd with a target of 500K boepd by end of 2001. Great numbers. I put a bid in for some stock Thursday March 23 at $35.00... didn't get it, but probably would have Friday March 24. Definitely one to watch.

In general, we need to see the whole sector catch fire before the smaller plays take off. There have been signs of this starting, but it may stall (re: OPEC is pumping more oil... sooner than I anticipated). I did favour oil 'cause of the higher prices of late, but I'm developing a bias toward gas. I've talked to several gas traders recently, and the forecast for gas is very bullish... and just a tad more predictable than oil. Also, there is more potential in North America for significant gas finds (re: recent plays in California).

P.S. V.BEC should have a >70% gas & <30% oil production makeup soon, be listed on the TSE, and a reasonable debt situation (reduction).

Regards,

JT
