Allan, sorry about your golf game. You should head out today (I think you're here in Vancouver) its beautiful!
I don't put too much credence in the after hours trading on the TSE. I'm not convinced its a true measure of supply/demand as you can only trade at the last price quoted, thats rather limiting. From what I have seen, stocks that close near their highs and still have stock offered on the closing price, those shares tend to get chewed up afterhours. Same goes for the stocks that close at there lows in reverse. I have done this myself in order to play opening gaps. As for the block trades, they don't differ to me from block trades during regular trading hours except price can't be manipulated to facilitate the cross. I'm still pretty green and have trouble figuring out the relevance of a particular cross. Ed, Wayne and Chief are the crew I look to for help on those.
