Elroy, I would agree that crude is a small part of gasoline prices but every thing else is added on % basis not fix numbers.

As to other energy resources the technology has not changed a lot and it will take lots $$$ and time to implement efficency on a large scale. In the meantime oil can spike up substantially.

Still fusion is the most attractive solution IMHO
