Luckily for us, being a politician, Bush probably doesn't mean a word he says, and just thinks this Reagan-esque rhetoric will get him a few votes.

Also, Bush may well lose (thanks to a record setting economy). And at this point in time, i think the Democrats are more in the pocket of Wall Street than the Republicans, which is good for us stock holders... I think.

Dear Charles: Anyone on this board who isnt for a flatter, SIMPLER income tax code is either so rich they have others do their taxes or so poor they dont care. I for one happened to have loved Forbes original idea of tax returns on a postcard. I would prefer to pay 10% (I think its UNGODLY to ask for more) on the gross income and forget about all this BS we have to go through every year. JDN
