Don, if and when a new technology comes around, it is always a good 3 to five years from its "vaporware" state to its hardware state, and another good few years before it capture an important part of the market. I have long been involved in new product launch, and it is a rarity to find something that is twice as good at half the price, a prerequisite, IMHO, for displacing existing technologies.

I was reviewing some posts from earlier today...

...and wanted to apologize to any Winnebago owners (in particular, used Winnebago owners) participating in the discussion here that may have been offended by the comparison to the PCMCIA type III specifications.

(please substitute any "generic" vehicle that fits the description of an oversized, rusty ol', gas guzzling, road hogging, motel on wheels.)
