Gary,

All of George Chelekis essays are interesting. He has had a unique perspective, coming from being a stock promoter himself nailed by the SEC.

I ran into him several years ago while researching a stock (ADVR) he had been punished by the SEC for promoting for pay in his HotStocks without a public disclosure(actually it was one of several). He was very frank about the stock in question but nevertheless I didn't like him personally. Even though he blamed others for his troubles with the SEC, it was obvious that he was very knowledgeable about the seamy side of the OTC market. His essays seem almost like a vendetta against those in the sordid side of the investment game he also once played.

The SEC is hopefully now trying to correct some of the abuses George points out in his essays which are several years old. I guess though that some of those games will never completely go away.
