Re: Standard Oil and AT&T breakup were any of them during election years?

Besides Standard Oil was controlling and dictating prices of businesses outside of their products -the railroads. And AT&T controlled all of the phone lines in the country and dictated those prices but would not allow any competition in.

IMO MSFT is beating the competition of their own and main product -Windows. Hardly a comparison.

Sure Bill Gates has full control over Windows and how it's marketed but that's just aggressive business. He tweaked what his competitor's had and re-marketed it to a perfections. That's not a crime IMO.

P.S. When you think about it Al Gore & Bill Gates think alike. One claims innovation of the Internet and the other innovation of it's competitor's products. DOS/MS-DOS, QUTRO-PRO/EXCEL, Apple'sWindows/MS-Windows, WordPerfect/MS-Word etc. etc.

Question is who is the world's greatest plagiarist?
