e.Digital SNIPPETS:

The following are statements made from Putnam, Falk or Wendy in either emails to individuals on the message boards or statements from press releases or Letters to Shareholders or from articles and press releases from various sources. I have been keeping notes for nearly one year and these are just some highlights from them. They are in no particular order. Enjoy.

Balrog

[Putnam] Regarding Packet Video, ? We are aware of who they are and their technology and we are glad they are local. ? (4-6-00)

Concerning the company, DataPlay, Inc.
[Putnam] We are already well aware of this company and have in fact already received some of their product for testing. In this case MicroOS would operate as a RTOS for it. (4-7-00)

[Putnam] You have to understand that this is a relationship[Intel] that goes back 6 years and is a relationship of different levels. (3-22-00)

[Putnam] The number of OEMs between us and Maycom is in the double digits and who knows what that number will grow to in 2-3 months from now. (3-22-00)

In answer to the question, ? Will there be any significant news out prior to the Nasdaq listing?
[Putnam] Yes there will be. (3-22-00)

[Putnam] There are even companies that we are working with that already have players on the market and want to use our version as their next generation product. (3-22-00)

[Putnam] What you are seeing are only hints of what is to come. (3-22-00)

[Putnam] Since the first of the year, EDIG has been talking with many brokers, institutional funds and analysts that are very interested in EDIG and what they do plus the companies they are working with.
They will have the ability to hopefully take EDIG to not only the next level but hopefully several levels above. (2-23-00)

[Putnam] This calendar year, 2000, will be a blow out year for EDIG as far as revenue generation and start to fulfill the promise of EDIG that everyone is expecting. (2-23-00)

Question: ? What are the chances of one of the semi conductor giants having MicroOS embedded on their chips? ?

[Putnam] ? That?s part of making EDIG a standard out there. If we are successful at that it goes a long way to getting that for the MicroOS. We are working with at this point, several companies who are very interested in doing that. And we are interested in making that happen. ? (2-23-00)

As to equity investments.

[Putnam] EDIG has had discussions and is having discussions with companies. (2-23-00)

Acquisitions:
[Putnam] EDIG is looking for opportunities, mostly software related that will give EDIG even more of a position in this brand new appliance industry. (2-23-00)

[Falk] We are talking to multiple companies. PC manufacturers, PDA manufacturers, Consumer electronic companies, etc. we are right in front of them. (1-11-00)

[Falk] We were also told by a very large technology company that they have reviewed numerous other operating systems for these devices and found that ours was the best. (1-12-00)

Question: Are Microsoft a friend or foe?

[Falk] I can't comment on that. We see them as friendly. That's all I can comment on. (1-12-00)

Question: Do you see yourselves dominating the digital industry like Qualcom did with the CDMA patents?

[Falk] The homerun for e.Digital will be to have Micro OS become an industry standard in portable digital devices. It is to that end that we are working. (1-12-00)

[Falk] We are working on incorporating video technology into portable digital devices. (1-12-00)

Question: please comment on automobile radios and your technology

[Falk] We met with two major providers of high end car stereos at CES and are continuing to work with them to incorporate this technology into the automobile. (1-12-00)

[PR] VedaLabs is also providing record labels with an encoding service for their catalogs and a retail website called fastsongs.com which will sell EPAC songs. (12-6-99)

[Joyce Eastman (Lucent Technologies)] I have worked with e.Digital on a different project that involved Lucent, IBM and Intel. (11-99)

Question: If Intel wants to embed the MicroOS into their microprocessors, why hasn?t AMD and Cirrus come to you as well?

[Putnam] What makes you think they haven?t? (10-5-99)

Question: Ok then why hasn?t Bill Gates come to you to embed the MicroOS into his Windows CE ?

[Putnam] What makes you think he hasn?t? (10-5-99)

Question: What is the status of additional patents, ie: international or additions to the current patents?

[Putnam] In the works. Both international and current. (10-5-99)

[Putnam] I really don?t know why this is not a billion dollar company. (10-5-99)

[Putnam] Both Skip Matthews and Alan Cocumelli were both blown away when they found out what ground work and relationships/contacts that e.Digital had already established. (And that was 8 months ago !!)

Concerning VTT/TTV
[Putnam] This will also include infra-red applications with the likes of palm-top computers. (10-5-99)

From SD Tribune article by Mike Drummer.
[Skip Matthews] Still Skip Matthews, a senior project development manager for Intel?s Memory Components Division, coyly hinted at the project?s capabilities, (Intel prototypes by e.Digital). ? What if you had a device that could read The Wall Street Journal to you while you?re in your car?? He said, declining to elaborate. (7-24-99)

For some laughs:

Jim Seymour, president of the consulting firm Seymour Group, recently wrote in TheStreet.com Web site that e.Digital may have superior technology, but company executives are delusional if they think a variety of digital music formats will coexist. (That is so funny, read it again.)
Seymour believes MP3, though audibly inferior to others, will be the dominant standard. He evoked the VHS vs: Betamax scenario, where VHS won because it established market share despite it?s shortcomings. (7-24-99)

Concerning the Lanier device built by e.Digital.
[Falk] There is also a potential for developing enhancements to existing products or developing new products altogether for Lanier.

Concerning Sanyo and e.Digital?s previous partnership.
[Falk] The two companies continue to maintain dialogue about potential opportunities in the portable voice recorder market. (10-25-99)

IPS Millenium Fund
[Robert Loest] For the Millenium Fund today we added a new company, e.Digital ( EDIG.OB). As those of you who read this know, I am always looking for the next disruptive technology. We don?t know if this company will be the Microsoft of music and video handhelds, but it has an excellent franchise. If it?s OS is extended to other types of handheld devices like cell phones and Palm Pilots, it could prove to be a valuable company. Even without that, the explosion in Internet delivery of music may make this company into one of the better values in the music sector, which is very large. (2-28-00)

[Falk] Developments in the speech technology industry continue to open doors for us. (3-14-00)

[Falk] We are working with global companies to build a future of portable, Internet-compatable appliances using convergent technologies to retrieve, store, and play back voice, text, still images, music and full-motion video. (3-14-00)

[Falk] I am more excited than ever about our business and future growth and success. (3-14-00)

[Falk] At CES, we met with companies in the home audio and the automotive audio industries who recognize that portable digital audio player technology is quickly merging into their markets. These companies see the advantages of our design and technology across multiple platforms. I anticipate new business opportunities will emerge for our Internet music player technology in these two large industries in addition to the portable player industry. (1-31-00)

[Falk] We have forged and cultivated relationships with Lucent, IBM, Intel, Texas Instruments, Liquid Audio, Lydstrom, QDesign, SanDisk, Toshiba, Matsushita, RioPort and others. These relationships are opening multiple revenue opportunities for our technology. (1-31-00)

[Falk] We are active in IBM's VoiceTIMES Initiative, whose goals include developing standards for the use of voice technology in a variety of products and platforms. We have built compatibility into our product designs not only for music but also for dictation and audio books. (1-31-00)

[Falk] IBM is leading the VoiceTIMES alliance and we are working to expand our relationship with IBM through this and other activities. (6-28-99)

[Falk] We have made substantial progress on our contract with Intel for advanced voice recorder prototypes. The project has taken interesting turns into areas of new technology and new OEM relationships. (9-23-99)

[Falk] We have been invited[unsolicited] to present our technology and views on the future of portable devices and the Internet to over forty multinational telecommunications and information companies. JUSTRI. (10-21-99)

[Falk] e.Digital's technology and engineering services are proliferating into several key markets including the Internet, consumer electronics and the PC sector. (11-4-99)

[Falk] We are working on important new opportunities that have emerged since the November 3 shareholder meeting in areas relating to portable digital music and voice devices. (Lanier was already in production at this time so there is something else) (12-20-99)
