Drop down URLs ... Internet Explorer stores these URLs in the registry under the key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\InternetExplorer\TypedURLs] You'll find them listed below this key. For example: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\InternetExplorer\TypedURLs] "url1"="http://microsoft/" "url2"="http://cisco/" "url3"="http://dell/" You could use your registry editor to export this key, make your changes and deletions, and import them back. Once exported, they're in a text file, giving you the opportunity to edit them or copy them to another program. I don't know how Netscape does it, but you could try this and see if they're similar. Many years ago, I used Netscape and this stuff was stored in the NETSCAPE.INI file, but we've advanced quite a bit since then and things could've changed. In most cases, Netscape's methods made things easier to manipulate if the user (me) wasn't technically proficient. Hint: Use Find to see if your URLs are stored in a file. Cheers, PW. P.S. I typed these URLs as a test before I entered this post. SI made these links clickable. Neat! I use Tweak-UI and it removes typed URLS as my system boots, so this list remains small and it'll be cleared on the next boot. I don't know if there's a maximum capacity.

netscape netscape netscape hi jw, only way i know to delete is via a) the method you first described (manually adding urls one at a time as old ones drop off below) b) deleting them all in one swoop via edit\|preferences\|navigator\|clear location bar adding them is by the obvious, typing them in the location bar. couple other quick points that may be of help... if you don't want a record of where you've been to appear in that drop down box, type the url in file\|open page box. and if you want another view of recent page history for a particular browser window, click on 'go' and select any pages that appear in the drop down. :) mark
