Just clicked on this morning. Thanks for your comments. I, too, think the most reasonable conclusion is that the open interest is bullish for the reasons you cite: they have not been closed, plus the fact that they're August contracts.

Thanks for educating me on the do's & don't do's of MMs. I view them more as facilitators of markets, & only take positions in small market inefficiencies, not sizeable ones such as the open call positions we speak of.

Objectively, I believe the market is just discovering TKLC. The forward outlook is positive, the backlog of orders is unprecedented, and I can only think that knowledgeable followers of this space view TKLC has an attractive acquisition candidate. The trend of the stock is up notwithstanding this past month's retrenchment. I can only conclude that positive upsides are on the horizon, and that the holder of these open call positions knows something that we and the rest of the market don't, which is why his positions remain open. Someone is betting on TKLC big-time, perhaps a tender offer by the likes of who else but CSCO, perhaps someone else. We can only speculate.
