Dear Rudedog: Perhaps Sonki meant concentrated on one basic product line. IBM being so large does likely have far more bodies but they may be spread out over many more products. JDN

RUEDOG, i sort of agree/disagree w. u. IBM has lots of talents in numerous areas, making it sort of a mutual fund of talents. Sunw is extreemlly focused and goes after it w. vengince (sp?). Sunw mngmt very savy. Hard to beat. one thing to notice, every vendor who parted from unix to go for windows have tumbled. cpq, hwp, ibm, dec etc..sunw has always remained focused. I do not include dell since dell never was on unix platform. Dell also remains focus. Ibm ceo sweet talker. Big ideas and no top line growth. If u get a chance please listen to sunw cc. I never miss sunw/dell/aol cc . Now i can understand if IBM said they are competing w. sunw but M. Dell just cracked me up. Nice that he wants to compete w. sunw. I am heavy in dell but I dont see dell selling $1m servers any time soon. too much rambles for the week day... Making a buy list for tomorrow. IBM has been very stable and promises to be great for the 2nd half of the year. Lots of things can happen between now and 1/2 half. oh, i also bb wjxap. btw: we talked about dell several months ago on this thread. I bot bak 90% of my zdeah and wdqaj as i was afraid dell would go over 40 ! well it did.
