Talisman. What The Brokers Say: Nesbitt Burns - Investors Digest, Canada, April 7

It seems Talisman Energy has put a spell on analyst Matthew Janisch, who gives the stock a 'five' rating (five being most attractive). His 12-month target price is $62.

"Talisman has a well-diversified asset base that contains considerable growth opportunities," he says. "As the focus on Sudan fades, as we believe it will, the stock will be poised to rally significantly."

Mr. Janisch is referring to the company's recent embroilment with the U.S. Treasury Department and its decision to impose sanctions on the Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Co., the Sudan joint venture, 25-per-cent-owned by Talisman.
The Canadian government recently decided to forego sanctions against Talisman and its operations in Sudan.
