Scumbria,

I was not in Sicily. I was in Sardinia. Sardinia is another Italian island that is directly west of Rome and south of the French island of Corsica. I was on the north-east coast a little south of Olbia and Costa Esmeralda -- a play ground for the rich and famous. The beaches are among the most beautiful in the world (and I have traveled extensively around the world). The food is fantastic and reasonably priced (especially if you like great sea food). And, wine is cheaper than beer. Sardinia is clean and the people are friendly. The weman at the beach are beautiful, and many prefer to go topless. Damn -- what the hell am I doing here!!!

Are you planning a trip? The high season is between the end of July and the beginning of September, when everyone in Europe is on vacation. The best time to visit is from mid June to mid July.

Pravin.
