MH, China has three G* gateways. The first one is on the way (Beijing); the rest will be on line later in 2000. I expect Beijing gateway will be on line no later than June 30, 2000 (guessing only. The last read told me that May 2000). It seems to me that China is not using Q' sat. phone at all. China Spacecom has lost a lot of money on I* investments. Now they are either very aggressive to promote G* or no reason to stay in business any more - G* and I* are China Spacecom's only businesses. Not even mentioning G* benefits to China's economy overall. Best, Brian H.
