Jim:

Why do you bother responding to this guy? Isn't it obvious that he is just another sophist?

The Prophet may have to issue Scumbria a curse if he persists in his duplicity.

You are way off target!

My argument was to GP's issues with the 810 and 815 chip sets.

DDR is not a memory system. It is a chip. The system characteristics of DDR for motherboard applications have not been discussed because there are no current mother board chipsets for DDR. You are comparing vaporware to a real product.

There will be support for DDR in high end servers(Foster)but not in the desktops currently being discussed.

The server market is about 8% of the DRAM market and DDR ram will have a lot less than 8% of that market in 2002 according to most projections and the INTEL road map published in my preceding post.

:)
