During the most volatile Nasdaq moves, MyTrack data feed did not miss a beat during the hours I was watching. I had some 18 or so stocks and indexes on each the myTrack window and the separate AIQ TEP window. I use the AIQ TEP app exclusively for real-time charting and always have one running throughout the day, even when I am following other windows. I have noticed in recent weeks an occasional problem among my numerous open windows which I think started when briefing.com began automatic refreshes on their pages. I have not tried to isolate the offending application but am beginning to also suspect similar behavior with CBSMarketWatch and one other name which now eludes me. The symptoms are discovering a page at briefing, CBS or the other which has already been loaded and read tries to refresh and times out requiring that particular window to be closed. On returning to the myTrack view a dialog window says the source has failed and do I want to reconnect? Cannot say they always occur simulataneously. This type of lost server has never actually happened while I was watching something on myTrack. Anyway, clinking yes gets the window up and running within two seconds - except for the times it seems to take thirty seconds to cycle through numerous servers. Including the initial log-on, this delay in finding a server has happened perhaps ten or fifteen times in a month where it happened once a month before. Two or three days this past month, it did not connect at all on the first try and I did not try it again until perhaps ten minutes later. I usually make a connection ten or fifteen minutes in advance of the open and let it run all day. Fortunately it has not been a problem for me. I have had a rock solid cable connection for over six months but before that it seemed myTrack was unnoticeable running in the background on a 56k modem which was often running at half its rated speed. Finally, myTrack has always ranked a 10 out of ten in its innoucous installations and uninstalls, something I can say about too few ambitious programs. The folks there also are very responsive to suggestions. I think it is a bargain. But, WDIK? heheh. Try it. I think you'll find something to like in it. Regards, appro
