Marc-

Thanks for the news....I have been away for almost a month.

Looks like pricing pressures and development costs came home to roost on Friday.

From WSJ Interactive and RIVA RICHMOND :

>Midway Games and its entertainment-software brethren "are going to go through a year or two of a pretty soft market," said Anthony Gikas, an analyst at U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray.

"The industry is definitely going to turn downward" as it moves to upgraded video-game platforms, said Mr. Gikas. He downgraded his ratings for stocks in the group over the winter and predicts the group's 2000 revenue at retail will fall 10% to 20% from 1999 levels. "Christmas 2001 is really when the tide turns," he said. <

From FGN:

>> Eidos says reports that it has signed the Game Boy Pocket version of Tomb Raider to THQ are premature. A spokesperson told FGN Online that no deal has been signed as yet, and that various companies ? presumably including THQ - are interested in the product. <<

WCW for DC:

>>With the success of WCW Mayhem, World Championship Wrestling has decided to release another game. The game will be called Nitro 2000 and will coincide with WCW's august pay per view. It will be available exclusively for Playstation during August, October for Dreamcast and Nintendo 64. The game is finished for the most part, however, wrestler voice overs still need to be recorded.<<
