Yes, some excellent questions contained in the link referenced by your link. Let the IRA owner/trader beware.

Although trades in IRAs are not normally reported to the IRS, the tax laws are so arcane and the power of the IRS so great that a prudent course may be the better one.

Not having an IRA I am not personally affected by these issues and my post was in response to a question only and not a recommendation or suggestion.
