Remember the famous Mark Twain quote: "The coldest winter I ever spent was my summer in San Francisco." Or Elmer's quote: "I was 16 before I knew what the word Summer meant." And wasn't there a Frank Sinatra song about "California being cold and damp"? You can't generalize about California weather. There are many days in the summer when California has both the high and low temperature for the US on the same day. Scumbria, And yet in all these cases, the temps are probably well above 3 C. ted
