Or maybe you've got a better OS you would like to tell us about?

See, that's just it. If it wasn't for Microsoft and Windows we'd have an OS with a neural interface (but you must think in Russian) and a three-dimensional holographic display by now, PC's would all be optically based, and networking would be done with tachyon and chronaton pulses.

The point is we might, at this time, have some options other than Microsoft for the OS if it were not for their monopolistic practices. It is my opinion that Microsoft will emerge with little more than a slap on the hand. And, the stock will begin moving higher soon, moving past its old highs within 6 months, never to drop below those highs again. What does Microsoft deserve? More than a slap on the hand. Perhaps they should be required to refund $40 to all its Win95, Win98, and Office customers who were overcharged due to Microsoft's anti-competitive practices. Perhaps a list of anti-competitive practices should be provided that would result in the breakup of Microsoft should they be engaged in again.

The amount of money that can be made in some industries is mind boggling once competitors are unfairly eliminated and a monopoly is established. J.D. Rockefeller secured riches beyond comprehension as Standard Oil flourished. Fortunately, the DOJ stepped in. Otherwise
we would probably be paying $4 a gallon for gasoline, our electric bills would be at least twice what they are now, and everything that requires shipping would be more expensive.

Good luck with your investments. No doubt if you have held MSFT for long you have done well.
