dreydoc- Speaking of mobile wireless devices, Network World did an editorial piece. Basically making fun of wireless web. It's pretty rare to see a someone poke fun at such a hot sector. But it happens to be what I believe too. I feel very much like the Tom Hank character in, "Big." I don't get it?

How in the world can that itsy bitsy screen be of much use to anyone? And as if we don't have enough platforms out there already, are we going to have to see a complete 100% re-write of every website that exists today to display on the miniscule screen?

IMO, which I've held many years now, I thought CTXS would be a fantastic way to access the web via a mobile wireless connection. But I always presumed it was going to be via a mini-computer screen. Bringing up current web pages(no re-writes) via a tiny wireless ICA pipe. But all this stuff that Psion is doing is somewhat counter to that idea and I'm slightly discouraged. When I first tested CTXS about 4 or 5 years ago, I thought it would be a huge hit for mobile wireless applications. So I'm at a loss on what is currently the rage.

As I've posted upstream a few times, my vision was to have wireless access to full blown Window apps and web pages via a high resolution handheld device similar to the Sharp Mobillion. But that seems to be falling by the wayside and I don't get it? Why the craze to create new standards whose best rewards will be tiny, text based screens?

So as to a long-run discussion of how mobile wireless, WAP, Psion, etc., effects Citrix, I'm at a loss? I still don't get the very basic of why the excitement over something that is so tiny as to be almost useless? -MikeM(From Florida)
