Great post MeDroogies! You forgot to mention that when liberals promise you both equality and liberty at the same time they are either psychopaths or mountebanks. (apologies to Goethe) Started reading Nonzero and am bogged down in chapter 6 or 7. My eyes glaze over at all the cultural anthropology. (And the constant use of the expression, "nonzero sumness.") Maybe I'll skim up to chapter 10, where he talks about "Our Friends, the Barbarians." Have a good one.
