The problem is most of mankind is irrational. Those of us who choose to think are deeply affected by the individuals who choose to live by mystical faith.

In addition, all those who live by mystical faith are parasites. They drain off the resources and the energies of those that are rational. The world is moved ahead by rationality, not mysticism.

Today's mystics are no different than the ancient Hebrews sitting around their campsites spinning tails of prophets, Jonah, the Garden of Eden, etc. while cowering at the wrath of god every time a surprise thunderstorm arrived or comet appeared in the heavens.

Today's scientists and technologists and engineers have moved the world.

The worth of each world-view is obvious. Mystics want to suppress knowledge; Rationalists want to expand knowledge.

And where do you put the leap of faith deemed necessary by Kierkegaard? If faith is reasonable, is it faith?

Now this is what I consider mystical...the Technology that brings us 'all together', wether we want to be, or not!

Imagine your entire home electrical system as a network, accessible by the world, [if they're interested].

-silly me, I thought it was only the PC...

Lonworks...lots to read on this thread and related threads-
