How big is the satellite delay?

Let's get out the slide rule. 186,000 miles per second, with a one way trip of 22,241 miles, equals 0.24 seconds for a round trip, assuming you are on the equator. So in any case it's less than 0.5 seconds for the trip, is there a delay in the satellite circuitry?

There seems to be one big-ass delay in the transmission of all this good CUBE news to Mr. Market today.
