Jozef re: K2, K3, Spitfire

I actually saw quite a few K2 533s (?) at GREAT prices. Fully loaded CPQs, with CD-RW, 20gigs, (but only 64mb & 15" monitor) for $975 at Circuit City. An upgrade to 128mb & 17" monitor would be about $1100. The problem is someone is probably more likely to buy a 500 PIII, for more money.

What if the 700 Spitfire outperforms a 750 Athlon? It seems to me the current Athlon needs to be phased out if they can get the Spitfires up to 800-900. Then start the T-Bird at 1 Gig. Call the Spitfire Athlon II, since Athlon is getting such good name recognition. I dont know, that might not make any sense, but AMD has some big decisions to make, I hope they do the right thing!
