Thanks S&P, That seems to make sense. It is now official, as of about 6:35 PST this morning I was in the plus column for ELH. So as of now the "Travel Guides" will be distributed free of charge!!

I think you're right about it being a matter of leverage and speculation. At this point, if I was buying on something I knew or had heard about ELH, I'd choose the highest leverage stocks available - KOB and then HTP - which is exactly what the market has been doing.

However, I suspect most of this morning's buying has been spec. driven. People realized the ELH play was ridiculously cheap. It still is - valuing ELH at about 0.5 TCF or so.

Draderd has posted something that sounds about right for timing. We already know from Hilton that logs have been taken.
<<< 2. Yesterday (Sunday) the rig crew was busy taking sidewall cores. They are experiencing some problems with the tool because of the extremely high temperatures down hole. They are still in the process of completing this and should be done sometime today.
3. Today the engineers, geologists and others are working through the information they have and are making the calculations necessary to provide THE COMPLETE PICTURE the partners will require.
4. It is reasonable to assume that all data and information will be assembled, before the end of today.>>>

Consequently, my hunch is few people "in the know" were buying this morning. Too early!! Strength this afternoon and tomorrow will be more indicative as sidewall cores are matched to log results. Of interest, I've just noticed a few sizeable buys placed "at market." Now that is significant.

For those of us who remained long in ELH, the last few days have been both profitable and a vindication. Looking at the big picture, it's only just a start. Relax and enjoy!!!

Regards,
Bob
