Mr. Tutt,

There is an assertion that MSFT broke the law. Let's see how that holds up in the US Legal System. I say they did nothing but beat the competition. (They beat them hard too!). I think this case still has a good shot at settlement. The DOJ will have a real hard time proving that the consumer was harmed. I feel more harmed by a marauding bunch of AG's with personal agendas. Mr. Gates is truly one of the "good guys" personally and professionally.

John

Hello everyone. I'm new to this thread, and have been away from SI for awhile. Just brought MSFT last week for the first time. I think the corporation is guilty as hell, just to give you my perspective. Nevertheless, barring a true market crash here, I suspect this stock will go up at least 10 percent between now and earnings. It's holding up well in a 4 percent NASDAQ decline. It's weakness this morning was probably some profit taking from the unexpected run-up on Friday. However, with the NASDAQ selloff in the last hour, it has not fallen much. That tells me the sentiment is turning positive. Could see 95 by weeks end if the NASDAQ stabilizes. IMHO.
