As I responded to Neo, I tend to view entropy in a slightly different way.

YES, the ultimate effect of entropy is a complete breakdown of the universe as we know it. Yet from the time of the Big Bang itself, when all space-time was created, dark matter, energy, warps, etc. entropy began counting down. The perfect universe is the universe that existed at the time of the Big Bang. Even in the nanoseconds afterwards entropy took hold. What we see in the universe today is the effect of ongoing entropy.
