1 Ghz Athlon systems were advertised in yesterday's fliers from CompUSA and Circuit City.

While browsing through a local computer shop magazine for the Portland area... one of the shops was offering a 1 Ghz system. May have been more than one but I was impressed there was even one.

ps: For fun, I also priced some systems at www.alienware.com yesterday and the premium for 1 Ghz systems was about $1,500 over the base 700 Mhz Athlon.
