Yet they perform marginally worse than Intel's chips at 1 GHz, thanks to lack of RDRAM (or even DDR SDRAM).

The reported difference in Athlon performance vs. PIII is due to the longer latency L2 cache, and the use of SSE preload instructions. Thunderbird will correct the L2 problem.

You didn't really think that I was going to let that one slip by did you?
