Anindo, i noticed that banks and tech stocks seldom seem to be up on the same day anymore. i think this is due to very little cash being available...

i agree that there will be some buying on a re-test of those lows. however, many of the bubble stocks were quite generously valued at those lows.

imo if there's not an absolute explosion in fresh credit and fund inflows, the markets are headed lower....from all accounts the pace of insider selling is expected to increase even more in coming weeks as more and more lock-ups expire. thus we know one thing for certain, and that is that the total trading float will increase quite a bit.

since we have had record fund inflows in the first quarter, without the overall market being able to make much headway due to the pace of insider selling, i wonder what will happen should fund inflows as much as slow down...

PS: it seems quite a few traders were wiped out or badly bruised as well last week...that may explain the lower trading volumes.
