Hmmmm, let me try again: NO, I do not now nor at any time in the future anticipate running Excel on my cell phone's LED. Ain't gonna happen.
But what if I had a PALM running Excel 'lite' that could link to my company's server running Excel 'heavy'? With a small amount of data entry, I could get an avalanche of crunched numbers returned to me. Maybe this is a dumb example, but the point is that we're not disputing that today's cell phone screen display (not to mention it's 'keyboard') is a no go for a full app. Just remember a cell phone is a two-way radio and you can stick a bunch of peripherals into/around it and make it do some amazing stuff. The form factors just haven't materialized yet. They will (or at least that's the bet I'm making). Mike Doyle
