That's a good question. Usually c is lower than a...but it doesn't have to be. Sometimes the primary trend is so strong that "c" only retraces a portion of "a" never going that low. If it's about equal...that's called a "flat".

If the correction starts to break down in more than 3 waves...say 5, the entire uptrend is in question. That started about 72.
