Physical and non-physical: In the general sense there are the characteristics of human-being. In the specific sense it would be the things associated with either you or me that is not in common to both of us.

<<Inanimate things just are...>> Oh, sorry I missed this piece. You are right in the sense that their idea or universal form "just is." I'll use our earlier example to point out that once it has an application in the universe it "Has" characteristics. Caring, for example, can have degrees of application as well as different contexts and targets of its application. So we can say that where we point to the existance of caring we can attribute characteristics to it as well.
