A painful but inevitable event that earnings may or may not forestall.

Greg, you have mentioned in the past that a good correction can serve as a valuable screen for stocks. Most of charts I follow look like they are ready to be wheeled into the trauma ward.

If we visit mid-80 QQQ, only stocks like QCOM, JDSU, INTC, CSCO will be left standing. CREE, LPTHA etc will be offal to the chart readers.

If we do have another 15% down from here, would you buy only Naz blue chips like QCOM, JDSU, INTC, or would you consider some more speculative plays?

One approach would be to see which stocks break out first, of course...

Also, what do you think of LEAPS if we get another 15% down?

I realize I am being premature here <g>, but these questions will come up sometime in future, if not in the near term. The names will change, but strategies will not.
