I don't have time to watch television and have not for years. I enjoy traveling all over the world and doing other things that interest me, not television. It is not that TV is lowbrow, certain shows (especially some on PBS) are not. The real danger is the subliminal programming of a sick culture that they foist on a public that has indiscriminate minds. People soak up programmed pap like sponges and are themselves programmed. I see examples of this almost every week. I don't need TV, the news media or politicians to do my thinking for me or, indeed, think for me. Father Terrence never deals in insults or non sequiturs. Those who perceive something I say as a non sequitur see, but fail to see as the great Holmes once put it. FT
