Re: "FWIW, here is an interesting article. The sentiment I'm getting is that there will NOT be a repeat sell-off if earnings are good, AMD is now getting a LOT of good press (absent three months ago)."

Comment: There were many naysayers at work after Q1 earnings release suggesting it was a one time event. Several were on this thread. A second successive record breaking quarter, particularly in Q1, the seasonally weak quarter, will put to rest any remaining naysayers...Compounding the anticipated record breaking Q1 earnings report is the fact that AMD is decisively above $60 and the bandwagon effect has begun...Confirmation of record breaking Q1 results on Wednesday is likely to set off a buying frenzy on Thursday, as even the most skeptical will conclude that AMD is vastly undervalued when measured by any financial yardstick relative to the industry norm! With a strengthening Nasdaq, the likelihood of continuing positive Q1 results evidenced by MOT today, continuing 8 million share volume days by AMD and a record earnings report for AMD on Wednesday are converging to set the stage for an AMD price explosion on Thursday...Within the foregoing context, there is almost zero probability of any sell-off on Thursday, imho...On the contrary, don't be surprised by a test of $100 on Thursday or Friday!
