>A bigger question is what do we do with what we've found in our seekings.<

We try to communicate them one to another - and experience daily the maddening ambiguity of this thing called language. Imo the internal tragedy of religious thought/experience is its incommunicability by mundane means. We have a deep-set need to believe there is a God who pays complete and transcendent attention, who perfectly accepts and organizes (perhaps even sets up) these thought/experiences, so imperfect and fragmented in words and reason, into a matrix we call spirit, and thus provides the coherent if intangible fabric onto which we spin our individual threads, and give them connectedness, meaning.

(whups - another Forrestal-class sentence there.)
