you offset that shallow Poet nicely
RR5, I agree that options can be monumentally profitable
I only attempted to make the point that despite January heavy profits, converted to QCOM shares, that I was still considerably under 50% in successful option trades

the key is not to permit the losses to be large, and to allow the winners to run rampant
as you say, gotta cut off the losers early

from 1989 to 1995 I would say that my winners were 20% but the net was only slightly negative

I had some big winners on option calls on my old employer Digital (DEC) when Alpha chip first came out in 1992, then shorting DEC later with option puts when we all realized Alpha had zero software applications and would wilt on the vine

I actually never had very large option losers until January y2000 just now with February QCOM calls

in the past, I have countless small and medium losers

thank you for your voice of reason, with some depth and character
much appreciated
jeez, Jim Willie
