Thanks for the link. Good analysis (lousy spelling). Any of us who frequent the Valence threads are well aware of the strategy. We have more than our share of these vermin. Because of Valence's history this is probably an easier stock to manipulate. So, until Valence is cranking out batteries and has a lot more orders, we will probably have to endure the attacks. It is sad that our race can produce those who will prey on the fear of others. It is a little like the small shop owner in the inner city having to pay "protection money" to the local mobster. Those of us who want to make a little more on our money than the banks will pay have to put up with the stock mobsters who are willing to live and work in the darkness. I would personally rather lose everything I have than have to earn a living in such a way. Money is their god and their harvest, though perhaps abundant, will always be bitter.

I don't buy the argument that the market needs this type of person to counter the hypsters. The hypsters are of the same ilk. We don't need either. But, hyping is often just a natural tendency to brag about something that you are excited about. Like hyping our favorite football team. Bashing is almost always sinister.

I can understand Mark Johnson's reaction to the bashers. I believe he is in the construction business and has probably made the money he has invested in Valence through some very hard work. He sees the bashers like someone who would steal materials off a worksite.
