When I saw the Lisa for the first time (I think it was the Cebit exhibition) many people did not take Lisa serious, because it didn't deliver value for your money. I did have to see the computer, though, because it was also the first time I saw a mouse... Somehow I see many parallels between Apple vs. Microsoft at that time, and Microsoft vs. Linux right now. Only with Microsoft in the losing position, because their products are too expensive and does not live up to the same technical demands in the internet age as Linux does.
