<Or not?>

Well, that is certainly where the dynamic growth is. The new economy stocks are where you want to be invested as long as the bull market stays intact.

But technical selling will come into play if the NDX closes below 3700. Moreover, more margin calls on the horizon and a few daggers placed in the heart of the momentum players. Momentum investors are not known for their patience and they don't handle pain very well, as most value players do.

No argument from me about gold in this environment. It should be interesting to see, however, at what point a declining Nasdaq impacts the dollar lower, if at all. Thoughts?

*OT* Hutch, I've missed your ideas and thoughts on this thread. It is good to hear a more objective analysis of Gold without the usual dogmatic uncritical hype of how the POG is going to $350, $400 or $500 in this economic or monetary environment.

<<But the real basis for a Gold rally, a declining dollar, is not present.

Nor is declining monetary policies.>>

What a great many forget, is if there were an increased demand - which outstrips supply - price would also go up without a lower dollar required. This doesn't have to be a "zero sum gain"! There can be a winning POG without a $ loss. That is why I'm excited about the gold dotcom connection - increased demand.

NOW, if there were just a way to slide the massive amount of money in US IRAs & 401ks into Bullion - There lies the final answer!!
