Hello Quad-K,

So this is very interesting ... and was talked about briefly at the Annual Shareholders meeting yesterday.

It appears that CMGI is going to be spending $200MM-$300MM to create a distributed caching network for the purposes of acceleration and "click stream mining".

It was stated that Sun and Novell both are going to invest $20MM each, and that they both stand to get some percentage of the $200MM-$300MM in the form of sales of products. I'm not sure what Novell might see out of this in direct revenues, especially since Sun's hardware is much more expensive! ;-)

But overall, I'm hoping that the company will be able to expose some of the capabilities of ICS through this deal ... I see this as far more important in the foundation of this network than eDirectory.

I know that this is an area that is about to explode ... when George Gilder starts talking about companies like Mirror Image and Inktomi, then you know that the area is going to heat up ... Novell *needs* to be visible in this space ...

I'm doing the same ... I'm holding for now ... not much else to do ...

I too am in a waiting mode for the end of the quarter. During the shareholders meeting it was said numerous times that it was well understood that Novell needs to generate "growth in revenue" ... along with partnerships and other announcements. So they *are* aware of what's got to happen ...

> Any other thoughts?

Nothing right now ... we are less than three weeks from the end of the quarter ... I think that the numbers come out on May 27th ... are there any early indications of what the analysts think?
